Farmstead Needs - Supplies, Materials, Etc.

Supplies and tools for a project like this can be difficult to source sometimes which can really slow progress. Let's work together! This group is where we will post specific (and sometimes odd) supplies and tools that we may be looking for to work on projects at the farmstead. Please let us know if you have access to anything that we list or that you may think we could use. As always, thank you for being a part of this project!

We are ready to start building some waddle and daube fencing and we will need a lot of willow or the like. We are planting our own willow this year, but we'd like to get a head start on this project. If you are local to Bákurholt Bær and have this growing in quantity, we'd appreciate being able to cut some for this project. We will then be having a Waddle and Daube Day where people can come and learn this ancient craft.

Our realtor, who is excited about what we are building, messaged the other day with information about these retaining wall blocks. These are the big commercial grade ones folks-100 lbs. each! They are now on the property waiting to be used for a couple buildings that need to be excavated into the hillside as well as a path leading to the ridge top.
