Milling Logs.....

We will soon be starting to build Viking inspired buildings and will be using some Scandinavian Timber Frame methods. We will be needing a lot of logs that we can mill into beams and boards. Preferably Southern Yellow Pine or Douglas Fir species. Any leads on these would be greatly appreciated!

Looking hard for these right now. Douglas Fur, Yellow Pine or similar species would be great. If you know anyone who has logs that they'd like to sell for a reasonable price, please let us know.

Willow or other slashings....

We are ready to start building some waddle and daube fencing and we will need a lot of willow or the like. We are planting our own willow this year, but we'd like to get a head start on this project. If you are local to Bákurholt Bær and have this growing in quantity, we'd appreciate being able to cut some for this project. We will then be having a Waddle and Daube Day where people can come and learn this ancient craft.

Thank you for the workout!

Our realtor, who is excited about what we are building, messaged the other day with information about these retaining wall blocks. These are the big commercial grade ones folks-100 lbs. each! They are now on the property waiting to be used for a couple buildings that need to be excavated into the hillside as well as a path leading to the ridge top. Thank you Tara, and thanks to everyone who is keeping their eyes peeled for things we may be able to use to build this farmstead.

Very nice. Is there enough space to tote them with a vehicle where they need to go? I got a longbed Dirtymax we can use.
